Composition I | Luis Badilla Jaubert

     My favorite summer vacation involved me and my friends visiting Parque Diversiones in 10 th grade. The first thing we did was meet up in front of our school and begin our trip to the park. To do that, we took two buses, although we decided to stop halfway there to get breakfast. Then, we arrived at the amusement park. Because we paid for special passes, we got to try just about every ride they had to offer, including Bocaracá and La Torre. Lastly, it was time for all of us to go back home. Since we all lived in different towns, we went our separate ways, and on my way home, I fell asleep on the bus and almost missed the drop-off. Overall, having a fun time with my school friends in Parque Diversiones was my favorite summer vacation, and I will never forget it.

  My class’s school trip to Africa Mia and Mega Fauna in sixth grade is something I will never forget. First, we visited Africa Mia and saw many real African animals, including ostriches, giraffes, and zebras. The most notable moment was when we fed the peacocks carrot slices that the caretakers gave us. After that, we returned to the buses for lunch, and I had brought three burritos along with an electrolyte drink. Unfortunately, the drink did not last because the weather was too hot, therefore I came up with the idea to auction one of my burritos to buy another drink with the money. Lastly, we visited Mega Fauna and saw sculptures of many ancient animals that are now extinct. Furthermore, we encountered a venomous snake on the trail, which was very frightening! All of this made our trip to these parks unforgettable.

  Over the years, I have written many documents and essays. Usually, I let my words flow freely while trying to maintain proper grammar and coherence, and once I complete a paragraph, I revise it. This process takes time, but I enjoy it immensely. Despite having written so much in my life, I sometimes run out of words. The way I like to resolve this is by writing a message to a fictional person, expressing my concerns and doubts about my written work. Doing this helps me generate new and fresh ideas, allowing me to write with excellence.

My name is Luis Ángel Badilla Jaubert, but I prefer just Luis. I was born in September 1995, which makes me 29 years old. As the younger of two siblings, I have had to be independent since I was a child. My cunning and drive have allowed me to accomplish many things on my own, such as learning English, graphic design, and piano. Additionally, my work on social media helped me obtain a partnership with a Warner Bros. division in 2018, and although that partnership has ended, I seek to continue growing. Nowadays, I am studying to hone my English skills so one day I can help others learn the most versatile language in the world.
